PROTECTION OF PRIVATE DATA
In compliance with the current regulation we inform students that private data and information will be processed and stored on servers located in the European Union and property of Cronopios Idiomas S.COOP.MAD. Your private data will solely be used for the commercial and operative purposes of the company. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you give your consent for your data to be used for the aforementioned purposes. You have the right to request information about your rights to access, correct and cancel such information by writing to the address: hola@cronopiosidiomas.com
IMAGE RIGHTS
When registering, students give permission to Cronopios Idiomas to send them information about the school, take photos and videos of them, and use images of activities carried out by the students during class, as well as images of other school activities taking place out of class. The withdrawal of this permission must be communicated in advance. Students are asked to complete a form at the time of enrolment.
COURSE TIMETABLE AND HOLIDAYS
Start Dates
General Spanish courses start every Monday (except for national/public holidays). All other courses have specific start dates. Please contact us for further information. If you are a student requiring a visa, please allow enough time for the completion of your visa application. Four weeks’ notice of visa confirmation is generally required.
Holidays
The school will be closed on the local and national public holidays. For courses with a duration of 1 to 4 weeks, local and national holidays will not count in the contract, and the corresponding deduction will therefore be made in the final price of the contract.
The school will be closed for two weeks at Christmas and all of the week of Easter. These days will not be included in any contract and students will not be required to pay for them.
Long-term students wishing to interrupt their course temporarily for holiday reasons must inform the school at least 15 days in advance of the interruption of the course. This interruption is subject to school approval.
Spanish Level Test
Students are required to conduct a Spanish level test. The test assists Cronopios Idiomas in assessing students’ learning requirements and class timetable. Any change of a student’s level and/or timetable is subject to approval by Cronopios Idiomas and to availability of courses. Spanish level tests can be taken on the day of arrival or prior to the course start date at the school and/or electronically. One of our teachers will be available to discuss and assess the level tests with students.
Attendance and stay in the group
The student has the responsibility to attend every class and make the most of them. If the student misses more than 80% of the classes, or does not make academic progress (checked through course completion tests and the teacher’s own evaluation), Cronopios Idiomas reserves the right to change the group and level of the student if necessary. In the event of the change of level being to a group not yet open, the student must wait until the level does open. The time waiting for the group is the responsibility of the student and as such, there shall not be a refund of the amount paid for the course under any circumstances. Nonetheless, the school will not count the days waiting as contracted days, so the contract will resume as soon as the student continues classes in the new group.
Timetable
Students are provided with the course timetable one week prior to the course start date. Please note, however, in the occurrence of unforeseen circumstances, Cronopios Idiomas reserves the right to change timetables and/or postpone classes.
ACCOMMODATION
Cronopios Idiomas S.Coop.Mad is the intermediary between students and the families that would like to host them, and for this we receive an accommodation fee of 30 (thirty) €. The rest of the total amount must be paid entirely to the host family.
The family is committed to hosting the student and respecting the established conditions during his/her whole stay, as well as fostering his/her language immersion.
The school is committed to searching for a new lodging for the student as quickly as possible if the family and/or the student do not wish to live together anymore.
Regarding the payment method:
- One week stays: the student commits to pay the family the agreed amount for the week on the third day of the stay, either in cash or by bank transfer.
- 2 to 7 weeks stays: the student commits to pay the family the agreed amount for the whole stay seven days after his/her arrival, either in cash or by bank transfer.
- 2 months stays: the student commits to pay the family at least the agreed amount for the first month of the stay seven days after his/her arrival. The student shall pay for the rest of their stay at its end, either in cash or by bank transfer
- More than 2 months stays: the student commits to pay the family at least the agreed amount for the first month of the stay seven days after his/her arrival. The student shall pay the agreed amount for the subsequent months of the stay at the end of each month, either in cash or by bank transfer.
The student is committed to respecting the family rules and the established conditions during his/her whole stay. In the event of significant damage to the lodging caused by the student, the family will assess the financial cost of the damage and notify the school. A staff member from the school will then visit the dwelling and check the scope of the damage in order to confirm the validity of the family’s assessment. The school will then notify the student the amount they are required to pay.
A double room is available only when requested by two students staying together. If a student requests a double room, but is not accompanied by another student, he or she will be accommodated with someone of the same sex and of different nationality or mother tongue. The family shall not accommodate in a double room a student that has requested a single room, unless prior notice to the school has been given; nor shall it accommodate in a single room a student that has requested a double room.
