A unique Spanish school in the heart of Madrid
Cronopios is a Spanish school like no other, located in a prime location between the Prado Museum and Retiro Park. We believe learning Spanish in Madrid is more than just studying a language, it’s about full cultural immersion. As a teacher-owned school, we prioritize each student’s experience and unique path, adapting our approach to their goals, learning style, and time in Madrid, ensuring they feel welcomed and at home.
Our Journey
How We Got Here
2012
We opened our first school on San Bernardo Street, near Gran Vía. Eight of us, full of excitement, set out to create a space for meaningful language learning.
2014
We moved to the vibrant Barrio de las Letras and became an Accredited Center by the Instituto Cervantes — a proud milestone for our growing school.
2016
New partners joined, and with them came fresh ideas and renewed energy. The school kept growing, always true to our cooperative values.
2018
We opened a second location between the Prado Museum and Retiro Park, welcoming even more students from around the world.
2019
We became an official DELE and CCSE exam center, deepening our support for students in their learning journeys.
2020
Together, we faced the pandemic — and came out stronger, thanks to the resilience of our community.
2022
Cronopios turned 10 with fifteen partners and the same shared passion that started it all.

Credentials That Matter
This accreditation certifies that Cronopios Idiomas meets the quality standards (SACIC) set by the Instituto Cervantes for teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Lånekassen
Cronopios Idiomas is eligible for scholarships through the Norwegian public agency Lånekassen (www.lanekassen.no), Norwegian students can receive funding to study with us.
