Very close to the school, behind Anton Martin Square, there’s a cosy little place that many madrileños know, but not many tourists or international students get to know. We are talking about Cine Doré, the cinema of the National Film Archives (Filmoteca Española).
Cine Doré is the best place for cinema lovers to watch new and old films in original version. A great movie theater built in the twentties in Art Decó style hosts many cine projections everyday: from nowadays success to classics organized in very carefully prepared series that bring us films from all over the world.
All the films are OV subtitled in Spanish and have a very reasonable price: 2.50€ (2€ for students with credentials).
Every week we recommend our students many films from Doré’s series, as all of them have Spanish subtitles, and in them there’s a lot of Spanish and Latin American movies. Going there is much fun and a great practice for Spanish students outside the class.
